 Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with TestCarHire (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Service

TestCarHire provides vehicle hire services specifically for driving tests within London and the surrounding areas. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Booking Process

Bookings can be made via Website enquiry form, WhatsApp, Telephone, or Email. A booking is only confirmed once we have confirmed availability, and a non-refundable deposit has been paid. We reserve the right to refuse any booking.

3. Payment and Deposit

To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit confirms and reserves your booking slot and vehicle and is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances. The remaining balance must be paid before or on the day of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation of your booking.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • If you cancel your booking, the deposit will not be refunded.

  • Any additional payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded if cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the booking time.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking are not eligible for any refund.

  • If we cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown or availability issues), you will receive a full refund of any payments made.

5. Driver Requirements

To use our service, you must: Be at least 17 years old, hold a valid UK provisional driving licence, have a confirmed DVSA driving test booking, and be legally allowed to drive in the UK. We reserve the right to refuse service if these requirements are not met.

6. Use of Vehicle

You agree to use the vehicle only for driving test purposes. Not to use the vehicle for illegal, reckless, or unauthorised purposes. Not to allow any other person to drive the vehicle unless agreed in advance. You are responsible for any fines, penalties, or offences incurred during your booking period.

7. Insurance and Liability

An insurance excess may apply in the event of damage or accident. You may be held responsible for damage caused by negligence or misuse. We are not responsible for: your driving test result, missed tests due to lateness not caused by us, or delays caused by traffic, weather, or DVSA scheduling changes.

8. Vehicle Condition

We ensure all vehicles are provided in a roadworthy condition. You must report any issues before the start of your booking.

9. Changes to Booking

Any changes must be agreed in advance and are subject to availability. We do not guarantee that changes can be accommodated.

10. Cancellations by Us

We may cancel a booking if the vehicle becomes unavailable, there are safety concerns, or you do not meet driver requirements. In such cases, we will offer a refund of payments made, or an alternative booking where possible.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TestCarHire is not liable for indirect or financial losses, missed appointments or opportunities, or delays outside our reasonable control.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
